Experience

As a former high school English teacher, college writing instructor, and Title 1 K-12 math, reading and writing tutor, I offer private K-12 tutoring online as well as in person to students living in Central Vermont.

I have been working with students for over 15 years–
as a classroom teacher in a public high school, as an instructor in an alternative school, as a Vermont State College writing instructor, as a tutor for English language learners, as a Title 1 K-12 math, reading and writing tutor, and as a private tutor offering support in math, reading, writing, and study skills.

In addition to my experience working with students, I have also worked with professionals from around the world as an editor, a researcher, a co-author, and as the head of one of the most prestigious editorial teams in medical research publishing. In my personal life, I have raised five wonderful and unique children.

I am equally as comfortable in an editorial board meeting as I am in a preschool classroom. I am an adept and empathetic communicator, who can tailor my working style to the needs of the people with whom I'm working.

Services

I am available for tutoring online or in person in the Waterbury, Mad River Valley and Stowe, Vermont areas.

Tutoring rates are as follows:

$100 per hour for online tutoring.

$125 per hour for in-person tutoring, with discounts available for multiple hours and/or multiple students in a single household.

References available upon request.
